Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in the human services field, specifically with individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain disorders
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, including HE-M 1201 and 1001
  • Proven ability to develop and implement training programs
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Responsible For
Primary Focus: As a Nurse Trainer, you will be responsible for ensuring our clinical staff and home care providers meet regulatory standards and deliver exceptional care to our clients. You will help train staff in key areas such as medication administration, client care, documentation, and quality assurance practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Training & Certification:
    • Lead the training and certification of clinical staff and home care providers to ensure compliance with HE-M 1201 regulations.
    • Develop and deliver training sessions focused on medication administration, client care, and documentation procedures.
    • Assist with certification and recertification processes, ensuring staff adherence to New Hampshire’s healthcare regulations.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular quality assurance checks for medication administration to ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Review medication logs and complete required forms (1201 A & B) on a biannual basis.
    • Identify medication errors and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Client Care & Communication:
    • Maintain communication with program managers to keep them updated on client status and ensure any changes in condition are promptly addressed.
    • Assist staff in handling crisis situations and provide guidance as needed.
  • Business Development:
    • Collaborate with leadership to enhance clinical operations and service delivery.
Work Schedule & Requirements:
  • At least 15 hours per week of focused, independent work required
  • Must be available for on-call shifts on a rotational basis, with flexibility
